The top 10 Productivity apps for 2016 on my phone
I have many apps I use but this is a list of the in my book. the great news as there are not very many new ones on my list. Evernote and Sleep Cycle have been with me for 7 Years now. Give one a try that meets your need and see if you don’t find yourself a little more productive each day. For the entrepreneur it is a must to be on your game every day whether your working or playing.
TIP: Before Monday go through your apps and delete the ones you never use and move your favorites to the front screens. it just a lil help but in 3 months it will have saved you an hour.
Sleep Cycle – This app is the first paid App I ever bought. I use it more than any other. It wakes you up slowly and quietly when you sleep cycle says its best. Cloaset to the latest time you enter. It has cool white noise features to put you to sleep.
Power Nap – Ben Franklin, Thomas Edison, and Winston Churchill to name a few. When you get this down, it will change your life for the better! Part of Sleep Cycle Suite.
EverNote – I read a ton, I am curious, I have an insatiable hunger to learn I need three brains. Evernote is used for all note-taking, web clipping, to-do lists, blog post drafts, research, and more. I typically enter 5 things a day up to 20+. So does Tin Ferris–
CALM – This guided meditation app helps those make all the difference for those of us that can’t sit still. It does give the urge to go fishing with the water sounds some times. not a problem for me the metronome like movement of my fly rod when waste deep in the river is meditation in my book!
THE EMAIL GAME – (emailga.me) — If you use Gmail this is a must and it’s kind of fun too. Inbox cleansing in 40-50% usual. It forces you to process serially, so no bouncing around in the inbox. Puts the ADHD to bed. At least try it before you poo poo it
Boomerang Get the upgraded extension for Gmail. Allows you to schedule email to be sent in the future, automate follow-up emails, get pinged if someone doesn’t reply, etc. In short, it frees up your brain (I will pen an entire Blog post on freeing up your brain).and calendar from all the “Check with [person] on [whatever]” clutter. Clear your mind, clear your inbox.
Uber – Uber makes me feel important with the black car and all and rescues me we I have my ass in a jam. Sometimes (ok always) I cut it close. Uber gives me piece of mind because I can see how close the car is and track it. Uber is Available in 225+ cities. I never done the math but with the tip included it seems to compete. In 4 years I have never had a bad experience!
Skitch – Pictures with sayings right on them. This can further personalize a photo and get more traction. I have a lot of fun with this too!
Mailchimp – When I am running event campaigns especially, I need to have my mail list handy. Probably because often times my events are pretty last minute.
Jump Cut – Hey don’t get caught without saving. If you’re a multi tasker and you cut and paste from multiple docs, gotta have it. Basically this free app, allows you to store (retrieve) over 35 copied or cut items from clipboard.
Hey if you have an app I need to try leave it in the comments and I will give it a try and get back to you on how it worked for me.
